obtaining marketing authorisation

Everything falling under the definition of a veterinary medicinal product should in principle obtain marketing authorisation prior to being prepared, stocked, supplied or administered on or in an animal. In the Netherlands there are currently more than 2,300 veterinary medicinal products with marketing authorisation.

The Animals Act, the Veterinary Medicinal Products Regulations and the Veterinary Medicinal Products Decree list all the criteria that veterinary medicinal products must meet.
