June 14, 2012 - Hearing appeals procedure FOIA decision Menogon and Fostimon on 25 June 2012

The Medicines Evaluation Board (MEB) has organised a hearing on 25 June 2012 from 13:00 to 14:00 following the appeal that Goodlife Fertility B.V. has lodged against the MEB’s decision on 29 February 2012.

The disputed decision concerns the MEB’s refusal to disclose all written information that resulted in the placement on and the maintenance of Menogon and Fostimon within Cluster 0G03GAAP of Appendix 1A of the statutory regulation Healthcare insurance (Regeling Zorgverzekering), as well as to the disclosure of all correspondence related to the availability of the medicines Menogon and Fostimon on the Dutch market since the Sunset Clause came into effect on 1 July 2007.

Attending the hearing

The hearing will take place on 25 June 2012 from 13:00 to 14:00 in the Beatrix building of the Jaarbeurs (convention centre), Jaarbeursplein 6a, in Utrecht, The Netherlands. The hearing is open to the public and interested parties (both affected and interested parties) can register via the telephone number: +31 88 224 8047.

Inspection

The documents relating to the case, the appeal and the other submitted documents are available for inspection by interested parties from 18 June 2012, between 09:30 and 16:30 at the MEB offices, Graadt van Roggenweg 500 in Utrecht. Method

The MEB has assigned a committee to conduct the hearing with interested parties: the appeals committee. This committee consists of representatives from the MEB and employees of the Medicines Evaluation Board Agency. The committee will hear the interested parties and will prepare the decision to be made by the MEB on the appeal, based on the information and data made available during the procedure. Interested parties will be given the opportunity to speak during the hearing.
